Chi what? Chihuly!

Hi lads and ladies,
I hope everyone had a great weekend.  These pics are about a week old.  I went to see an exhibit with a friend of mine at the art museum.  I love art, but it has been a while since I've been to the museum, because I felt like I had seen everything they had.  However this exhibit definitely caught my attention because of the medium the artist chose to work with, and the fact that we didn't have to pay an entrance fee.  Score!  A blown glass exhibit by Dale Chihuly was being featured for a limited time.  The colors, themes, and designs are GORGEOUS and so creative.  Just looking at the pieces made me want to learn how to paint or draw.  Most of the pics are of the exhibit.

My friend commented that this reminded her of Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.

I love cultural/ethnic art.  These are Southwestern inspired glass baskets.

This display is on the ceiling, it reminded me of jellyfish and oysters.
