I finally met my 21st century pen pal (more like Twitter pal). Her name is Maureen and I've been following her on Twitter ever since I joined.  She was in the process of moving back to Haiti after having lived in New York for over half her life.  I lived through her experiences in Haiti vicariously.  I have often toyed with the idea of moving back home.  She lives near the capital, which is about 3 hours (without traffic) from me.  I spent the weekend at her house.  She and her mom were such wonderful hostesses.

Hope all of you ladies and gents are doing well..  I went to the beach twice last week.  Although I was feeling bloated , I still wanted to enjoy the beach so I opted for my polka dot one piece  I love this bathing suit.  I think it is so retro, it reminds me of a dress that Lucy used to wear in I Love Lucy.

All The World Is A Stage

Hi all, I went out with a gentleman friend last Thursday.  He surprised with a really lovely play.  I am big into theatre and the arts.  I've heard of Porgy and Bess, but I have never seen the play before.  I am also very fond of Afro cultural events, and this play is about an African American community in the South.  Although I did not know where I was going, I figured I should look decent, the only instructions that I got were to wear comfortable shoes.

I am not a fan of bright yellow, because I always feel like it washes me out and makes me look pale.  However, now that summer is here, and I have tanned, yellow looks much better on me.
