Sunrise Sunrise, feels like morning in your eyes

Hello hello,
So if you remember from my last post, I talked about wanting to participate in blogger challenges.  I wanted to do Bloggers do it Better, this challenge called for pairing a neon color with a neutral.  I racked my brain and searched my closet for these two items.  Although looking through the pictures, my shirt looks more like a pale yellow rather than a neon yellow but A for effort right?

Striped Pink

I went to my friend's house for dinner tonight.  It was really nice getting together and hanging out with her. We lost touch for a while, so we have been doing a lot of catching up.  After dinner, I went to this club in downtown... wait for it... by myself!  I don't know what came over me, ok fine I do but I'm too ashamed of myself to admit it.  But suffice it to say that I wasted over $50 that night and I didn't have any fun.  Am I the only one that hates when I waste an outfit?

No Speakers

I went out with an old friend to a house party today and it was  a little very lackluster.  Not much else to say about my night, but it was definitely a bust.  That is one event that I could of missed.  Have you ever been to an event where you wanted to turn and walk right out of the door?

Futbol

I went to the Haiti vs Harvard soccer game today.  It was the first real soccer game that I've ever watched.  I had such a fabulous time.  The sole reason that I went to the game, was because the Haitian National team was playing, and the proceeds were going to Partners In Health (check them out, they have a lot of great initiatives).

This is one of the fedora's that I bought from Filene's Basement.  I love love the colors, and the belt buckle.

Family Affair

Today my family and I went out to dinner to celebrate both my brother and sister in law's birthdays.  We went to Venezia's, it's on the water and the view was beautiful.  The food was delicious and the vibe was fun and nostalgic.

I was up so late last night trying to create an outfit for today.  I scoured fashion blogs, magazines, the color wheel and my closet for inspiration to almost no avail.  But don't fret fashion friends.  I did manage to put something together.

Soft and Neutral

My sister in law threw a surprise birthday party for my brother today.  Of course I was late and made it there way after the birthday boy's arrival.  I like to think that I made a fashionably late entrance.  It was at a cool restaurant called Louie's in Patriot's Place.  Definitely check it out if you live in or are visiting the great Bay State.  Since it was a small family and friends hang out vibe, I wore jeans and a plain v neck white T.
