Day at the MFA

Hi ladies and gents!
This post is a continuation from the Chihuly post.  I didn't want to inundate the post with so many pictures, so I decided to split the two.  After the Chihuly exhibit, my friend Kim and I decided to explore the rest of the museum even though we were pretty familiar with the exhibits already.  Check out the pics!
Let me in!!

Chi what? Chihuly!

Hi lads and ladies,
I hope everyone had a great weekend.  These pics are about a week old.  I went to see an exhibit with a friend of mine at the art museum.  I love art, but it has been a while since I've been to the museum, because I felt like I had seen everything they had.  However this exhibit definitely caught my attention because of the medium the artist chose to work with, and the fact that we didn't have to pay an entrance fee.  Score!  A blown glass exhibit by Dale Chihuly was being featured for a limited time.  The colors, themes, and designs are GORGEOUS and so creative.  Just looking at the pieces made me want to learn how to paint or draw.  Most of the pics are of the exhibit.

Arm Party

Hi my dearest readers.  Will you believe five challenges later, I'm finally joining the Bloggers Do It Better challenge?  Lol, they don't call me stubborn and slow for nothing.  The latest assignment called for an Arm Party.  We all know that I'm always down for a party :).  The term Arm Party was coined by Man Repeller, and it's basically how one layers one's bracelets, bangles, and cuffs etc.  This assignment is right up my alley, because I love to layer bracelets.  Some might even say I over indulge when Arm Partying, but it's a good thing I didn't ask some.

Here is my look for the BDIB challenge

Check out some other Arm Parties that I've hosted.

I Don't Know Why I'm Scared, I've Been Here Before

Hello hello!
This outfit is from last Wednesday, the 27th.  I didn't do anything special.  Just a meeting, that proved to be pretty fruitful.  I will admit that I agonized over what I should wear.  I've been using Polyvore a lot lately to inspire some outfits.  It was a really hot day, and these shorts are so comfy.  The last time I wore them here it was for a night event.  For years I used to shy away from wearing shorts.  I've got meat on my legs and thighs, and I just always felt like shorts were unflattering, and not for me.  Aren't we glad that phase is over?

I'm sure you guys understand by now, how deep my love for this fedora goes.

See, I Just Want You to Know You're Far From the Usual

I went horseback riding a couple of weeks ago.  I debated posting the pics, because there wasn't anything fashionable about them.  In fact I had on jeans and a plain purple T.  I rarely wear jeans and a T.  I knew that I would be getting dusty and sitting on a horse for 30mins, so I didn't think it made sense to wear anything "cute".  I also had plumber's butt in almost ALL of the pics.  SMH that I didn't notice this.  I'm trying to be more open about what I post on the blog, because there are days where I don't really go anywhere, or wear anything blog worthy.   So here it goes.

The place is Bobby's Ranch in MA, check it out if you live here.

Caramel Plum

Hi (waving ecstatically), hope you all had a great weekend.  I had a fun but slightly expensive weekend.  I will definitely be laying low this coming weekend.  As you probably assumed, these pics were taken in a library.  No, I don't just go take pics in the library lol.  Whenever I need to get things done, or serious thinking, I like to go someplace quiet.  I can not work/think in noise, AT ALL.  Ever since I was a child, the library has always been my refuge.  Books are my escape and they've allowed me to expand my horizons in more ways than I could have ever imagined.  I am so fortune to have had teachers and mentors who encouraged and supported my love of reading and thirst for knowledge.  I still have a bunch of books from my childhood, that I can't wait to share with my future children.

Betcha Didn't Know

Hey gals and guys,
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  Thought I would share some things about myself that you may not have gleaned from reading this blog.
